Very effective at building tension, and the level-design is straight forward (unlike many horror games which choose to simply flood the player's view with darkness, making it difficult to proceed.) Storyline is very clever once you piece it all together, without spoiling. Very good if you're into survival horror. Would say, however, the third act is slightly tedious and the game is a little glitchy. Protag could also use a little more development, but still otherwise great. Yay.. Stairs is scary. Not in the jump scaring way, either. The game looks great and the audio effects (especially with headphones) made this a very fun and suspenseful journey with some interesting creatures. Plus it was SCARY and that's worth the money alone. :)The only criticisms are with a part where you cross wooden bridges (falling through them was very glitchy for me before I learned the trick) and the ending was too abrupt. I was lost as to what the story was supposed to mean at the end so if you like a good zinger its not to be found. It felt like they planned to do more but ran out of time. Unfortunate but forgivable given the great gameplay involved here.. Nice game even if it is a bit short. What there is of it is well thought out and entertaining. Recommended play and at only $10 you can't go wrong.. thanks for always crashing on the last level, great game, good bugs. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ makers.. This isn't a game for a person with little gaming time. If you can't play the game in its entirity in one shot, you'll be replaying the same bits because the developers went with using saving checkpoints over giving the player the ability to save. The only clue I got about when a save checkpoint was reached was seeing "Saving..." in the lower right corner of the screen. I lost all my interest in this game after exploring the warehouse 3 times because I couldn't play long enough to reach the first checkpoint (basement door in last photograph).Being unable to save a game when I want is a pet peeve of mine, especially with games on PC. If this were on a console, I wouldn't be bothered about it.. At first I really liked this game. Even though I got lost several times...There are for sure some really nice moments and specially the beginning is well done. The "interaction" with the different characters and to solve somehow a murder case is interesting. But until the second chapter for me it felt like it wasn´t a priority anymore. <= for me a bit sad.If there is a line of a story you should always get back to it. Next to it the environment. First you are in a closed factory, later on in a mine and then outside in a small hidden village. To use "stairs" for the connection between the levels is not a bad idea. Here and there you really got the feeling of a psychological horrorgame, but it was also a bit jumpy from one chapter to the other. I understand that it is nice to show different environments, but it would have been more catchy just to focus on one story to get all of the creepy psychological and atmospheric ingredients to make it perfect. And later on with updates a psychological chapter in a mine, third in a village... Just for not loosing the focus. Oh...and sometimes I had the feeling there were much more ideas which they would have liked to follow, but werent able to. => always keep the ideas! In the end I would like to see more of Mr Adams and his weird mind. :). BEST GAME EVER!
